I’m honored to be a featured cast member in the powerful upcoming documentary, Coming To Africa: Motherland Connect.

Chosen by the producers alongside five other African Americans, I embarked on a life-changing journey to Lagos, Nigeria. It was a transformative experience to explore our roots, and go on an incredible adventure.

This deeply personal experience came at a profound time in my life. Just before filming, I lost my mother, and the journey became one of spiritual healing, and connecting with my ancestors.

As we navigated the history, beauty, and complexity of Nigeria, each of us uncovered parts of ourselves that had long been waiting to be seen.
